Wednesday, September 16, 1998 (Mexican Independence Day) The government web site of the city of San Pedro in Mexico was hacked with a message that seems to know no international boundaries: keep corrupt governments out of the net and leave it for the people to run. This group lists other sites and the dates they claim to have hacked them. Because of the national holiday in Mexico, this hacked site remained up all day.
